Introduction

The Customer's office is the force of choice for the development of global infrastructure and delivery of solutions that drive influence operations. The Customer requires specialized skills in cloud engineering and full stack development.

Contractor personnel serving in designated High Risk Roles (HRR) are required to comply with the Customer’s screening program, whereby completion of a medical screening process to obtain a medical clearance is required. The Customer will determine the appropriate level of medical screening based on the High Risk Roles specifically identified by the GTM.

For the following roles, the position will:

Full Stack Development Support – HRR:  Yes

  • Participate in software development efforts through all aspects of the software engineering life cycle including scope and work estimation, design, documentation, implementation, testing and integration.
  • Design and develop new applications to better meet the Customers mission design, as well as develop, and provide O&M for multiple tools.
  • Assist in developing solutions to software architecture problems and broad design solutions.
Cloud Engineering Team Support – HRR:  Yes
  • Manage virtual and physical servers on a virtualization platform (VMware) with Windows Server 2008-2016, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
  • Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Use a proactive approach to anticipating, mitigating, identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.

The Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:

Full Stack Development Support

  • Demonstrated experience independently designing and developing cloud based applications using current best practices and architectural guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience working in software engineering, applications development or web application development and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience with object oriented development in a modern language (Java, Go, C##).
  • Demonstrated experience developing front ends in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Demonstrated experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing in a commercial clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated experience developing containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
  • Demonstrated experience with networking and Virtual Private Network (VPN) protocols like OpenVPN, Wireguard, and IPSec.
Cloud Engineering Team Support
  • Demonstrated experience managing end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience installing and managing cloud based applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Demonstrated experience performing software and hardware upgrades, patches and reconfigs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the physical environment of server racks including cable management, documenting, labeling, and configuration of KVM switching for console and remote access.
  • Demonstrated experience installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Demonstrated experience performing regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring the system daily and responding immediately to performance, security or usability concerns.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing application logs to sustain system integrity and security.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux administration (Centos/Ubuntu/Rocky).
  • Demonstrated experience communicating issues and resolutions to all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience responding and resolving help desk and JIRA requests.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience. 

Highly desired, though not required, include:

Full Stack Development Support

  • Demonstrated experience with Java/Go.
  • Demonstrated experience with Javascript.
  • Demonstrated experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Demonstrated experience with development in AWS, Azure, or GCP (specifically experience with EC2, S3, EKS, EFS, Route53, Load Balancers or their equivalents).
  • Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation – CI/CD (Gitlab).
Cloud Engineering Team Support
  • Demonstrated experience in system administration.
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
  • Demonstrated experience with Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies like OpenVPN, Wireguard, and IPSec.
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting (Bash, Python, Powershell) and automation tools.

Security Clearance:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Travel:

  • This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA).   Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
