Job Overview:

The  Customer’s office is the force of choice for the development of global infrastructure and delivery of solutions that drive influence operations. The Customer requires specialized skills in information security and tech ops.

This position will:

  • Be responsible for the physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness in regards to information security.
  • Support the maintenance, deployment, and security posture of deployed infrastructure and technical solutions.
  • Work with the ISSM and ISO in monitoring the information system(s) and its environment of operations to include developing and updating the authorization documentation, and implementing configuration management across authorization boundaries.
  • Assess security impacts of changes and make recommendations to the ISSM.

Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, system administration or a related disciplin
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: Computer networking in Windows AND Linux, Use of common online services in a persona-specific environment, Website configuration, Basic software development knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience strategically planning efforts, identifying issues, negotiating changes, proactively anticipating needs, and analyze complex requirements with stakeholders, and allocate resources in a given timeline to achieve desired mission outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience eliciting information on complex technical problems from non-technical personnel for use in diagnosis, analysis, resolution of problems.
  • Demonstrated experience making decisions and managing competing priorities, schedules, risks, stakeholder requirements and interdependencies on a variety of technical, resource, and organizational issues, even in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating (oral and written) to convey complex technical information for a variety of audiences (i.e., technical and non-technical).
  • Demonstrated experience with customer regulations and standards, including Information Security (INFOSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC).
  • Demonstrated experience managing security aspects of deployed infrastructure and technical solutions, in addition to day to day security operations.

Highly desired skills and demonstrated experience:

Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating emerging technologies and identifying areas of improvements to meet requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer systems, architectures and applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management concepts and principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT tools, methodologies, technologies, and industry trends (to include social media and web).
  • Demonstrated experience with Rapid7, WebInspect, AppDetective, CIS-CAT, and other vulnerability assessment tools and processes
  • Demonstrated experience with computer and network vulnerabilities (e.g., malware, zero-day attacks, denial of service attacks, etc.)
  • Information security certifications such as CISSP, CISSE, CISA, CEH, CCSP, etc.

Security Clearance:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Travel:

  • This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). 
  • Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is anticipated within the Continental United States (CONUS).
