Job Overview:

The Customer requires an individual that will provide technical support in the areas of mobile software development to enhance tradecraft and operational objectives for an enterprise-level training certification course. The individual will provide support to the Customer's approved systems and established workflow.  The individual will manage multiple baselines, recommend and implement new processes to streamline, and automate workflows.  The individual will proactively interact with partners to collaborate on technologies, sharing data and effective training methodologies to develop technical solutions to enhance mission.  The Contractor shall interface with multiple partners and customers within the organization.  Priorities will be managed by the Customer’s Point of Contact (POC) or GTM.

This position will:

  • Provide support for training courses at the Customer’s facility, which do not follow official Office of Personnel Management guidance for weather or other closures or delays.  Extended work weeks (EWW) for the Contractors may be required.  GTM should be notified of any EWW in advance. 
  • Provide end-to-end administration and management for the Customer’s proprietary systems workflow in support of training. 
  • Provide end-to-end administration and management for Customer’s internet, intranet, and stand-alone systems. 
  • Provide administration, training and management of mobile handsets and portable media. 
  • Provide administration, training, and management of custom applications such as mapping, photography, or location data. 
  • Recommend process improvement to automate or streamline workflows. 
  • Create and produce training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as required. 
  • Assist in management and distribution of the Customer’s mission essential products and other items in support of training. 
  • Modernize handset and mobile tradecraft workflow to enhance the Customer’s curriculum objectives. 
  • Mitigate risks or implement effective tradecraft strategies leveraging emerging technologies. 
  • Collaborate with mission partners and support integration of analytic products to enhance training objectives. 
  • Provide timely operations and maintenance (O&M) support to the Customer’s baseline systems to increase performance and reliability. 
  • Provide customer service support to student and staff trouble calls in a timely manner. 
  • Provide bi-weekly status reports to GTM and management, detailing tasks being worked or completed. 
  • Consult with the Customer’s curriculum and training department to stay abreast of changes and implement requirements. 
  • Provide ad-hoc support to enhance training objectives.

Required skills and demonstrated experience:

Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education or technical certifications in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile software development.
  • Demonstrated experience using Java and Kotlin.
  • Demonstrated experience in Android Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience in Vital Android Software Development Kit (SDK) concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience designing with databases such as SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with Git.
  • Demonstrated experience with XML Basics.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing effective UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) interfaces.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Google APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience in Cross-Platform development skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and in depth understanding of Material Design Guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in backend programming language skills, including Python and C.
  • Demonstrated experience in mobile device management and application deployment.
