Introduction
The Sponsor requires support to directly assist the Sponsor program manager with operational support, database support, collaboration with other operational teams, briefing customers, and development and execution of strategy for complex technical solutions that are widely used and relied upon. The work will be performed within a team environment. The Sponsor needs polished skills in concept development and execution while managing a moderate, fast-paced workload.

Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:  

  • Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing mobile applications targeted for Android/iOS devices.
  • Demonstrated experience working with small teams to manage software development activities. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
  • Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking development sprints using JIRA.
  • Demonstrated experience managing source code in Github and Gitlab.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automating build and deployment lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization and orchestration with experience building, deploying, and managing scalable Docker images across production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing test plans.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training.
  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development
  • Demonstrated experience with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript. 

Highly Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience: 

  • Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated experience documenting process and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with tool idea conceptualization and requirements design
  • Demonstrated experience working with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical operations.
  • Degrees(s); Advanced degree in Software Engineering or similar

  • This position requires US Citizenship. Verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements will be confirmed.

Security Clearance:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Travel: 

  • This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA).   Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
